Start at the outside edge of one arm and follow it down to the seat. Measure across the seat, then up and over the opposite arm. Keep the tape against the sofa, following its shape.

The sofa cover's done a proper job of freshening up my old armchair. The material feels decent enough, not too flimsy and it fits snugly which is nice. It seems pretty durable so far; no signs of wear even after a few weeks. Bit of a faff to get on at first, but overall, quite good value for the price.
